Colossians 1:28 (ESV), Bestway’s mission statement
In accordance to Colossians 1:28, Bestway’s mission is to help every person to grow into the best version of themselves - the individual they were originally meant to be.
At some point in life, nearly every person searches for meaning and purpose. “Why am I here, why am I like this, what is my mission in life?” God is love (1. John 4:8), and for a good reason He has made all of us unique. There is a place and purpose for every one of us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Well what then, are those good works, that God has prepared in advance for us to do? Jesus says: “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:30). We all have uniquely appropriate tasks laid out for us, where we have the possibility to utilize those strengths and gifts we have been given by God. When we are able to use our strengths, work becomes rewarding: We are able to help others and rejoice in the fact that our skills are being put to good use. It is in situations like these, when work ceases to feel like a heavy burden.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Our stay on Earth is a lifelong growth journey, and it is up to us to do our best. In Jesus Christ we have a perfect example of what it looks like to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). By aiming to grow closer to God through trial and error, we simultaneously mature into the individuals God has meant us to be.
